1. Rules and regulations: Interpretation of all rules and regulations will be the sole responsibility of the tournament director(s). The rules of the tournament will be unchanged from initial event to the final event of 2008.
2. Official Checkpoint: Check-in/Checkout will be at one location in the morning and one location in the evening with defined times. All competitors with equipment will be in 100% compliance with all rules and regulation defined by the tournament directors.
3. Boat Inspection: Each boat will be inspected on the tournament morning and may be re-checked on the water. A Tournament Official may check any compartment in your boat. Each boat must have the equipment that is required by law.
4. Late Penalties: A penalty of one pound per minute shall be imposed on contestants who are late to official check-in area. This weight will be deducted from the total daily weight of the contestant. All competitors more than 15 minutes late shall loose their entire daily catch. There is no allowance for lost time. Ample time will be allowed for all contestants who reach the check in area on time to have their fish officially weighed in.
5. Safety: All competitors must practice safe boating conduct at all times during the tournament. Each competitor is required to wear a Coast Guard approved chest type life preserver at all times the motor is in operation. The preserver must be snapped, zipped or strapped in a secure manner until the engine is turned off.
6. Permitted Fishing Locations: Teams may fish any area of the lake except within 50 yards of another boat that is anchored with their trolling motor up. No boat may fish close enough to another boat as to appear to touch.
7. Tackle and Equipment: Only artificial lures can be used. No live bait or prepared bait can be used. Pork
Strips/rinds can be used. Only one fishing rod can be used at one time for each angler. All other types of fishing equipment are prohibited. Other fishing rods can be ready for use in the boat.
8. Scoring: Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass and Small mouth Bass are legal tournament bass. There is a limit of 5 bass allowed per boat and at no time shall any boat in competition have more than 5 bass in its possession. All culling must take place prior to entering the weigh in area and no dead fish can be culled. Any fish equaling or exceeding 12 inches can be presented for weigh in. Any fish presented for weigh in that does not meet minimum length requirements will result in the elimination of the contestants' largest fish. There will be a 4 ounce penalty for each dead fish weighed in. All penalties will be deducted from the total score of the contestant.
9. Protests: All protests must be reported within 30 minutes of weigh in and documented within 30 minutes of the protest.
10. Ties: The largest fish in weight will be use as a tie breaker.
11. Fish: All fish will be released to its natural habitat at the end of every tournament
