Fishing in Iraq
"About the only thing I could think of
would be some new fishing lures. I have been fortune it enough to get to
do some fishing over here. And I try to take as many people with me that
want to go fishing when I can. I have a couple of rod and reels but not
much fishing gear. I could use a scale and some odd and ends things like
lures, hooks, line, and weights. We don't eat the fish over here I'm sure
you could but i'm not going to try it. And any kind of hunting, fishing
or car magazines you have would be great. But don't go out of your way
and buy a bunch of magazines if you don't have any. Well I hope this
email helps you, and I am sending some pictures of me and my latest
catch. We catch a variety of fish over here like big head carp,Asp and
Wels Catfish. The big fish in the picture is a Big head carp and the
smaller fish that looks like a snook is a Asp. The carp was around four
feet long and weighed around fifty pounds, the biggest asp I have caught
was around seven pounds and about twenty-five inches in length. They
really  like anything that has color in it like yellow or green and
flashing blades. I catch them mostly on yellow and green worms and
spinners. Well I hope this email helps you and I hope you have a great day."
At our company (General Dynamics, Information Technology, Panama City Office) we started sending some care packages to some of our Soldiers in Iraq.  This piticular Soldier is Sgt. Corwin Cone stationed in Badgad (I will have to find out where he's from).  In a recent e-mail to us he stated that they were able to fish over their and was in need of some fishing supplies.  Boy did he send the e-mail to the right place.  Below is a couple and photos of some of his catch and below is also part of the e-mail that he sent us.  It is truly nice to see that big smile on his face considering what they are doing over their.  But that's what fishing does to a person.
Thank you Corwin
and
God Bless you and all the Soldiers of the United States of America
